Meet Your Merchant Monday - In the Mood Intimates

Meet Your Merchant Monday

In the Mood Intimates is located at 1499 Post Road

Meet owner, Karen Esposito of In the Mood Intimates, which has been a staple in downtown Fairfield for nearly 8 years, providing the community with top-notch lingerie and intimate apparel. Initially nestled in the Brick Walk, their journey led them to realize the necessity for more expansive quarters. Thus, in 2021, they made the pivotal decision to relocate to their current address at 1499 Post Rd, situated in the bustling heart of downtown.

This relocation marked a significant milestone for them, as it effectively doubled the size of their store, allowing them to better cater to the needs of their customers. One of the most notable enhancements was the doubling of their dressing rooms, streamlining the shopping experience for their valued customers. With this added space, they seized the opportunity to broaden their offerings, particularly in loungewear and pajamas, enriching their selection to better align with the diverse preferences of their clientele.

At the core of their mission lies the art of bra fitting. They understand that the right-sized bra is not merely about comfort and support; it's about empowering confidence from within. That's why each member of their team is a trained bra fitter, dedicated to ensuring that every customer walks out feeling not only comfortable but also exuding confidence in their perfectly fitted undergarments. At In the Mood Intimates, they take pride in helping their customers look and feel their absolute best, one bra fitting at a time.

Karen shared that “being a part of the Fairfield business community means more than just occupying a storefront in the downtown area; it means actively engaging with the community, understanding its needs, and striving to meet them. It means forging connections with fellow businesses, collaborating on initiatives that benefit the community as a whole, and contributing to the vibrancy and growth of the local economy.” She added, “For In the Mood Intimates, being a part of the Fairfield business community entails not only offering high-quality lingerie and intimate apparel but also providing exceptional customer service and personalized attention to each individual who walks through our doors. It means being responsive to the evolving needs and preferences of our customers and continually seeking ways to enhance their shopping experience. Moreover, it means being a trusted resource and a supportive presence within the community, whether through participating in local events, supporting charitable causes, or simply being a welcoming space where residents can feel comfortable and valued.”

Additionally, she stated that “ultimately, being a part of the Fairfield business community is about more than just conducting business—it's about building relationships, fostering goodwill, and contributing positively to the fabric of the community in which we operate.”

Karen feels that what sets Fairfield apart is its remarkable spirit of collaboration and support, extending well beyond mere commerce. Residents band together to champion local causes through volunteering, fundraising, and assisting neighbors in need. What truly resonates with me about Fairfield is its profound sense of community and solidarity. It's a place where businesses and residents unite to create something greater than individual interests.

What she treasures most about Fairfield “is the sense of belonging to a larger community. It's a place where kindness, understanding, and teamwork thrive amidst life's challenges. In Fairfield, the values of connection and support aren't just talked about—they're lived out every day, making it truly special.”
